DAME JUDI DENCH is a legendary actress with loads of iconic roles and a career spanning decades, and she still gets a Colin the Caterpillar cake on her birthday. Proper order.
Dench was 83 yesterday, and according to a picture posted by her daughter Finty Williams, she celebrated by going down the Chinese and having a slice of Colin:
Delighted with that, so she is now.
Earlier this week, the actress did an interview with the Telegraph in which she revealed that life as an octagenarian is “just trees. Trees and champagne”.
She’s created a wood in her back garden by planting trees in remembrance of friends and relatives who have passed away, including actress Natasha Richardson and her late husband Michael Williams.
A documentary about her woodland called Judi Dench: My Passion For Trees will air later this month – here she is listening to a tree:
